Star of the Seas sails on Sunday 17 January 2027 from Port Canaveral on Royal Caribbean’s 7-night Western Caribbean & Perfect Day itinerary: Costa Maya, Roatán, Cozumel and Perfect Day CocoCay, back on Sunday 24 January. We checked the sailing on royalcaribbean.com and the port’s 2026 master cruise schedule on 27 October 2026. No fares on this page, and space is not held. If you are a Florida family weighing this week, Coco can match it to your crew at /match/canaveral-family.

What terminal does Star of the Seas use at Port Canaveral?
Cruise Terminal 1, at 9050 Discovery Road, Cape Canaveral, FL 32920. The port’s master schedule lists Star of the Seas at CT1 on Sunday 17 January 2027, in port 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The port says ship schedules and assigned terminals can change, so the terminal in your cruise documents is the one that counts.
Star of the Seas Port Canaveral parking
Port Canaveral’s garages sit next to each cruise terminal, so there is no shuttle. Parking is pay on arrival at a daily rate that covers the day you leave and the day you come back, no reservations are needed, and no cash is accepted (portcanaveral.com, checked 27 October 2026). Check the port’s parking page for the current rate.
Parking opens at 10 a.m. for embarkation. Follow your assigned boarding time rather than arriving early.
What time does Star of the Seas leave Port Canaveral?
Royal Caribbean lists a 4:30 p.m. departure on 17 January and a 6:00 a.m. arrival back on 24 January. That early return makes a same-day drive home easy for Orlando, Tampa and South Florida families, and leaves room for a midday flight if you fly in.
Does Star of the Seas go to CocoCay?
Yes. Perfect Day CocoCay is the last port, on Saturday 23 January, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Ending on the island means the beach day comes right before you pack. Like any port day, the 23 January CocoCay call is not guaranteed: weather can move it or cancel it, so watch Royal Caribbean’s app and email in the days before. If you are deciding between Royal’s island and Carnival’s, see CocoCay vs Celebration Key.
Star of the Seas vs Icon of the Seas: Port Canaveral or Miami
Star of the Seas is the sister ship to Icon of the Seas. Royal Caribbean also sells Icon of the Seas Western Caribbean sailings from Miami with Costa Maya, Roatán, Cozumel and CocoCay. For most Florida families the real choice is the door, not the ship: drive to Port Canaveral or fly into Miami.
If you can park at the terminal and skip the airport, Star from Port Canaveral is usually the simpler week.
Is it safe to cruise in January?
January is outside the Atlantic hurricane season, which runs 1 June to 30 November (National Hurricane Center). Winter weather can still change a sailing: port order can shift for weather, and a cruise line’s contract lets it change or cancel a port call (Royal Caribbean’s Cruise/CruiseTour Ticket Contract, linked in the sources below). In October 2026, non-tropical Bahamas weather reshuffled the port days on Harmony of the Seas from Port Canaveral (Cruise Hive, 24 October 2026).
Nobody can forecast weather for 17 January today. Travel insurance bought early is the part you control.
Other Star of the Seas January 2027 dates
